Nadeau scores 5, Valkyries shut out Lockwood 7-0
BIGFORK — Scout Nadeau buried five goals for the Bigfork Valkyries in a 7-0 rout of the Lockwood Lions on Saturday in a non-conference Class A soccer game.
Nadeau teamed up with Brette Guenzler on three of her goals. Guenzler had another assist on Callie Gembala’s first-half goal.
Bigfork’s Catherine Panor was in goal for the shutout and made 4 saves. The Valkyries peppered Lions goalkeeper Kennady Krebs with 30 shots.
Braeden Gunlock opened the scoring with her goal in the 8th minute, assisted by Madison Chappuis.
Bigfork (2-1) led 3-0 at the half. After her goal in the 17th minute, Nadeau scored four more goals in the second half.
The Valkyries’ Saturday win followed a 2-0 loss Friday to Billings Central.
