WTC hosts volunteer day
Whitefish Theatre Company invites members of the community to a volunteer sign-up day from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
Get a sneak peek at the 2021-2022 season video and then sign up to volunteer for shows throughout the season. Sign-ups for the various shows include ushers, set painting, costume assistance, assistant stage managers, prop assistance, and several tech opportunities that include sound and lights.
Light food and beverages will be served. There is no need to RSVP. Stop by just to sign up or stay and visit for awhile.
With the recent spike in Covid-19 cases and following recommendations by the CDC, the staff asks that you wear a mask to this indoor event.
The Met: Live in HD is canceled this season
The upcoming 2021-2022 season of The Met: Live in HD will not be shown at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center. The ongoing pandemic coupled with the Whitefish School District’s need to respond quickly to changing health situations means that organizers cannot ensure the Whitefish Performing Arts Center would be available for every performance, which is a requirement for contracting with the Metropolitan Opera.
In a recent email to the Daily Inter Lake, Carol Atkinson and David Pickeral wrote to apologize for the unfortunate situation.
