Prep football roundup: Wildcats, Bulldogs roll, Vikings rout Cowboys
RONAN — Cody Schweikert threw for 220 yards and a touchdown and ran for two scores to lead Columbia Falls past Ronan 42-6 in a Western A football contest Friday.
Schweikert completed 13 of 17 passes, including a 26-yard scoring strike to Jace Hill, and ran six times for 40 yards. He was picked off once, but also had one of the Wildcats three defensive interceptions.
Mason Peters, who caught a 66-yard scoring pass from Reggie Sapa in his first start at receiver, and Hill had the others. The Wildcats rolled up 390 yards of offense and held Ronan to 215.

BUTTE — Fynn Ridgeway threw for 170 yards and a touchdown and Whitefish’s defense was supreme in a lightning-delayed shutout of the Western A rival Maroons.
The game was delayed just after Ridgeway found Jaxsen Schlauch for 16 yards and a TD in the first quarter.
Ridgeway had a pick on defense, as did Jack Akey — Akey’s fourth in four games. Whitefish had one goal-line stand and Logan Conklin picked off an option pitch and took it 45 yards for a score.
Cody Berry rushed for 129 yards, including an 18-yard scoring run for the Bulldogs. Decker Wold added a 38-yard TD burst in the fourth quarter.

Polson’s Jarrett Wilson put on another impressive show again Friday, throwing for six touchdowns in a trouncing of Western A foe East Helena.
Wilson completed 18 of 23 passes for 247 yards.
Colton Graham caught two touchdown passes — one for 19 yards and one for one yard. Graham caught five passes for 48 yards.
Also catching two TD passes was Robert Perez, who had seven receptions for a game-high 147 yards.

Patrick Wallen threw for three touchdowns and 184 yards. Wallen’s longest pass of the night was 63 yards to Bryce Gilliard late in the first quarter.
Wyatt Johnson was Bigfork’s leading rusher with 46 yards and ran in one touchdown.
Conrad’s Brinkley Evans drove in a 10-yard TD with 45 seconds left on the game clock.
