Capital cruises past Flathead, 57-0

HELENA — Helena Capital rode defense and two rushing touchdowns each from Luke Sullivan and Dylan Graham to a 57-0 Western AA football win over Flathead Friday at Vigilante Stadium.

The Bruins, 2-1, averaged better than nine yards a rush, piling up 358 yards on 39 carries. Sullivan led the way with 159 yards on 14 attempts. Capital had 512 yards of total offense.

Graham ran six times for 87 yards, and his scoring runs of 40 and 38 yards — sandwiched around a punt return by Tom Carter for a TD — had the Bruins up 22-0 in the first quarter.

Flathead (0-3) managed just four first downs. Kaden Henshaw returned from a sore hamstring and rushed for 45 yards. As a team the Braves had 44 yards of offense.

Flathead plays at Legends Stadium this Friday against Butte High.
