Glacier boys roll past Big Sky
MISSOULA — Davis Rennie scored two goals, Joey Paolini got his sixth of the young season and Glacier held down Missoula Big Sky 6-0 for a Western AA boys’ soccer victory Tuesday.
Paolini scored in the third minute off a feed from Harrison Sanders, and then it took until the second half before the Wolfpack (4-1) tallied again. Then the flood gates opened, starting with Hunter Lisowski’s goal off an assist by Paolini early in the second half.
“The guys came out and played with a lot of confidence,” Glacier coach Ryen Billiet said. “Big Sky defended us really well, and their goaltender made a lot of great saves. We stayed patient and things eventually really opened up for us there.”
Sam Els and John Pyron bracketed the goals by Rennie, which came in the 58th and 64th minutes. Pyron, who combined with Dylan Holly in the net, also assisted on one of Rennie’s goals. The host Eagles (0-6) did not have a shot on goal.
“It was our first road trip,” added Billiet. “No bus transportation, so I give credit to the parents and administrators for organizing and getting us to the match.”

Big Sky girls 2, Glacier 1
Missoula Big Sky’s girls scored two goals, the last in the 81st minute, to rally past Glacier 2-1.
Reagan Brisendine scored in the 56th minute, on an assist by Melanie Santa, to lead 1-0. Big Sky then scored an equalizer six minutes later. Mazey Kazberg assisted on the first goal and scored the game-winner.
