Ridgeway, Schlauch guide Whitefish over Stevensville

WHITEFISH — Fynn Ridgeway threw for 143 yards and three touchdowns and the Whitefish Bulldogs stayed perfect with a 24-6 Class A football win over Stevensville Thursday.

Ridgeway completed 10 of 21 passes and also ran for 77 yards. Running back Cody Berry rumbled for 113 yards for the Bulldogs (4-0).

Jaxsen Schlauch, who preserved Whitefish’s 20-14 win over Frenchtown last week with a late interception, had scoring receptions covering 43 and 61 yards.

Those were sandwiched around an 5-yard TD strike to Logan Conklin.

Ryder Barinowski added a field goal in the fourth quarter.

The Yellowjackets fell to 1-3. Whitefish’s next game is at East Helena on Sept. 24.
