The Woodlands’ Concert Series continues
The public is invited to attend a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at The Woodlands, an active senior community located in Kalispell directly behind the vacant Shopko building and Snappy Sport Senter. There is no admission charge for the concert.
Baritone Steve Flatau will present a vocal concert titled “Songs of Hope and Inspiration,” offering a variety of music. The program will include songs familiar and not so familiar, with the message of hope. Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” will set the mood for the performance. The audience will recognize several songs from a variety of Broadway musicals, as well as standard inspirational favorites.
Flatau is the administrative pastor of the Christian Life Center in Missoula, and is a husband, father and grandfather. He sang in a touring choral ensemble in college, and currently sings in the Treasure State Chorale, a select adult ensemble based in Missoula.
“The Saturday afternoon performance promises to provide something for everyone to enjoy,” said concert organizer and pianist Francine Harris.
Covid-19 precautions will be encouraged to make the concert a safe environment for all in attendance. Attendees are also welcome to check out the new facility. A reception will follow the performance.
The Woodlands Concert Series will include monthly programs offering a variety of performances by outstanding musicians from the surrounding area. The October concert on Saturday, Oct. 10, will feature a soprano who will present “Love Songs Yesterday, Today, and Forever.” The residents at The Woodlands want to share these concerts with the public so feel free to attend.
