Braves start slow, fall to Bulldogs 48-7
Butte’s Dylan Snyder scored four touchdowns, including a kickoff return to open the second half, and the Bulldogs down Flathead 48-7 in a Western AA football matchup at Legends Stadium Friday.
The Braves (0-4) got off to another slow start and had trouble getting out of their own end of the field. A 75-yard drive in the third quarter was capped by Jackson Walker’s 26-yard scoring pass to Dylan Kratofil. The drive was helped along by a 13-yard burst from Kaden Henawhw and a 10-yard run by Walker.
By then the game was out of reach. Snyder caught four passes for 47 yards and three of those catches went for first-half TDs covering 19, 17 and 6 yards. The last made it 34-0 at halftime, and Snyder then took the third-quarter kickoff 88 yards to paydirt.
Butte quarterback Jace Stenson was a very efficient 16-for-17 passing for 171 yards. He threw a fourth TD pass to Kenley Leary in the third quarter.
Walker threw for 90 yards and ran for 57 to lead the Flathead offense.
