Glacier spikers sweep Helena High

Glacier earned another Western AA volleyball win by beating Helena High in three sets Saturday at Glacier High School.

The Wolfpack (5-5 overall, 3-1 conference) also topped Helena Capital Friday.

Sidney Gulick led Glacier defensively with 15 kills and 17 digs. Sammie Labrum recorded two blocks and served three aces.

Glacier’s Haven Speer had all 35 of the team’s assists.

For Helena, Lauren Heuiser had a good showing in several areas, with 12 kills, one block and three service aces.

The Wolfpack travels to Missoula Tuesday to take on the Missoula Hellgate Knights.

Savanna Sterck had 18 kills for Flathead in a three-set sweep of Helena Capital at Flathead High School.

The Bravettes (5-5, 3-1) took out Helena High on Friday.

Kennedy Moore added five digs and had 14 assists; Cyan Mooney served seven aces and Kylie Munsinger had 12 kills.

Flathead will visit Missoula Big Sky on Tuesday.

COLUMBIA FALLS — The Wildkats dispatched Northwest A rival Whitefish in three sets Saturday at Columbia High School.

Columbia Falls leads the Northwest A with a 4-1 overall record and a 2-0 record in conference play. Whitefish is 0-5 and 0-2.

Jazzy Marino stepped up for the Wildkats by serving three aces, and recording 10 kills and 11 assists.

For Whitefish Brooke Zetooney had eight kills and two blocks.

Both teams play again Tuesday: Whitefish heads to Ronan and Columbia Falls will be hosted by Stillwater Christian.
