Pirates double up on visiting Loggers

POLSON — Sophia Moderie scored four goals for the Polson Pirates in an 8-0 soccer win over the Libby Loggers Saturday.

Moderie added an assist and Madyson Luikart scored a hat trick for the home team, who is now 3-3-1 overall and 1-2 in Northwest A.

Tia Mercer also added a goal and an assist for Polson, who led 5-0 after the first half.

Libby is still searching for a win at 0-2, 0-6. Loggers goalkeeper Anna Pallister made nine saves.

POLSON — Braydon Luikart scored a hat trick for Polson to help the Pirates beat the Libby Loggers 5-0 on Saturday and earn the team’s first win of the season.

Luikart also had an assist for the 1-6, 1-2 Pirates, which also got two goals from Jack Colton. Colton assisted on Liukart’s third goal.

Loggers keeper David Bailey made 15 saves for the visiting team, who still has not won a game.
