Whitefish rolls Bigfork

BIGFORK — Sofie Saurey and Emma Barron scored the only tallies for Whitefish in a stingy 2-0 Northwest A soccer game Tuesday.

Barron also had an assist for the 7-0 overall, 4-0 in conference Bulldogs, who have outscored opponents 50-4 this season.

“Teams are starting to be prepared for us, and know that we like to keep the ball,” Whitefish coach Roland Benedict said. “They were able to stop us from scoring multiple goals … We weren’t clinical enough in front of the goal.”

Whitefish’s Norah Schmidt made one save for the shutout and Bigfork’s Catherine Panor stopped nine shots.

The Valkyries are 3-4 and 1-2.

BIGFORK — Multiple players led the attack for the undefeated Whitefish Bulldogs in Bigfork, who continued to toll with a 7-0 win over the Vikings.

Charlie Hyatt, Aaron Dicks,, Lou Kofal, Collin Lyman, and Chase Sabin scored (Dicks scored two) and Sabin and Lyman notched two assists each.

The Bulldogs are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Northwest A. The Vikings fall to 2-4-1, 1-2-1.
