Ridgeway, Bulldogs take down Vigilantes

WHITEFISH — Fynn Ridgeway threw three touchdowns passes and returned a punt 37 yards for a score as Whitefish made short work of East Helena, 44-8 in a Class A football game.

The Southwest A Vigilantes, in their first year of varsity football, had little luck stopping Ridgeway, who had touchdown passes covering 55, 32 and 15 yards.

Logan Conklin, Jaxsen Schlauch and Clayton Godsey caught TDs, and Decker Wold had a short touchdown run for the Bulldogs.

Ridgeway was 11-for-16 passing for 144 yards, and no interceptions. He also ran for 37 yards. Mason Kelch came on and completed 5 of 6 passes for 82 yards, including a 40-yard TD to Morgan Kyle. Cody Berry had 44 rushing yards for the Bulldogs (5-0).

Polson 49, Libby 14

LIBBY — Quarterback Jarrett Wilson threw for 354 yards and six touchdowns, and the Polson Pirates beat Libby 49-14 in a Northwest A battle.

Colton Graham caught touchdown passes covering 25, 37 and 24 yards as the Pirates improved to 5-0, and 2-0 in league games. Wilson was 16 of 21 passing.

Libby (2-3, 1-1) had Ryder Davis throw for one touchdown, to Tripp Zhang, and run for another.

Graham had five catches for 103 yards; Xavier Fisher caught five balls for 115, including a 65-yard touchdown. Alex Muzquiz added a 52-yard scoring reception and Trent Dwelle hauled in a 39-yard scoring strike. Dwelle also ran for 44 yard on nine carries.

Trent Wilson added an interception return for the Pirates.

Bigfork 54, Whitehall 6

BIGFORK — Levi Taylor rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and the Bigfork Vikings rumbled over Whitehall in a Western B football battle Friday.

Taylor had scoring runs covering 44 and 5 yards, while Joseph Farrier — who ran for 60 yards on six carries — put the Vikings up for good, 13-6, with a 9-yard burst late in the first quarter.

Patrick Wallen completed 10 of 12 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown to Isak Epperly, and added a 4-yard scoring run for Bigfork.

Bigfork (4-0, 1-0 in league) outgained the Trojans (0-4, 0-1) 444-114, and had touchdown runs from George Bucklin and Elijah Thorness. Dane Hanson had three catches for 70 yards and added a pick-six for a TD in the second quarter as the Vikings pulled away.
