Bravettes fall to Helena schools

HELENA — This past weekend was a rough one for the Flathead Bravette soccer team as they fell in two matches to Helena Capital and Helena High.

Helena downed the Bravettes, 4-0 on Saturday. Helena Capital defeated Flathead, 2-1 on Friday.

Mia Stephan scored Flathead’s only goal of the weekend — against Capital on Friday.

“We played a very good game against the Capital defense and the midfield did a great job creating opportunities, but we still couldn’t finish. Two mistakes on our side cost us two goals,” said Flathead coach Bledy Doda.

“Helena High was difficult after a couple of injuries. The girls tried their best. I was happy for the hard work,” he said.

He also complimented the effort of Ally Pollan in the midfield.
