Fair taking applications for new food vendors
The Flathead County Fairgrounds is seeking two new food vendors to participate in this year’s 2022 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo.
The vendors will join those already scheduled to participate in this year’s fair set for Aug. 17-21.
Sam Nunnally, Flathead County Fairgrounds Manager, said every year the fair loses or adds a few vendors and fair staff is looking for those who might be interested in applying for two spots.
“We have different vendors that come in and sometimes we’ll have some, like a service club, that decides they can’t participate that year,” he said. “So we look at it every year to see who is returning and do we need to add any. This year we decided we have a couple of positions that we could stand to fill.”
Nunnally said the fair is seeking vendors that want to put forward their best food.
“We’re looking for people to really take part with their best fair food,” he said. “Anything on a stick or deep fat-fried is always popular.”
For those interested in having a food booth at the fair, an application form along with photos of the food operation, and a proposed menu with prices must be submitted no later than May 16 at 5 p.m. To download the form, visit http://www.nwmtfair.com/forms/
Completed applications may be dropped off at the fair office or mail, fax, or email to mniemeyer@flathead.mt.gov.
