Law roundup: Man strikes out with alleged threats

Kalispell Police Department received a report that a man was allegedly yelling and threatening people with a bat, which he was slamming into the ground. The person calling in the report thought the incident was drug-related. Officers spoke to people walking in the area, but they didn’t see anything.

A father reportedly hit and kicked his son in the stomach during a tussle over a car. The son claimed his dad was trying to steal his car and kicked him while he was in the car.

A man was allegedly locked in a bathroom on the main floor of a building and the manager wanted him moved along

Someone allegedly heard but couldn’t see a man screaming and going through garbage outside of a building.

A man was reportedly camping out on a bench on Main Street and someone was concerned about the safety of others and didn’t think it was the best place for any homeless people “to set up shop.”

A woman allegedly thought she saw a drug deal go down when two men got out of a truck and handed something through the window of another car. She told officers this was beginning to be a “big issue at those apartments.”

A vehicle reportedly tried to fun someone off the road who called the police and said they followed the vehicle, which contained two younger women.

A woman was allegedly passed out in a running vehicle and a property manager told officers people around the vehicle had left and she was still unconscious. It was determined that medical assistance was not needed.

A woman told officers her son’s girlfriend used her debit card to make purchases without permission.

Fictitious license plates on a blue truck were seized by officers.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a van.
