No. 28840 CITY OF COLUMBIA FALLS NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT The City of Columbia Falls is considering the issuance of a Floodplain Development Permit for the item addressed below. Application of a Floodplain Development Permit: A request by Flathead county Road and Bridge Department for an after-the-fact permit that conducted emergency repairs to North Hilltop Road in Columbia Falls. The emergency work involved placing 385 cubic yards of pit run, 71 cubic yards of crushed aggregate and 40 lineal feet of culvert. The emergency occurred when Garnier Creek flooded and washed out the old culvert and portions of the road. This permit is required as part of the Floodplain Management Regulations. The property is located in the SE1/4NE1/4 of Section 12, T30N, R21W, P.M.M., Flathead County. Persons wanting to comments shall do so on or before September 7, 2022.
