Braves blank Big Sky

MISSOULA – Three players each scored two goals apiece for the Flathead Braves in a 6-0 victory over Missoula Big Sky on Tuesday.

The Braves are 2-1 in what has been a strong start to the season under first-year head coach Alejandro Calderon.

Jonas Herzog started off the scoring and Carter Bullins scored twice in the first half. Flathead led 4-0 at the half. Trace Lenz’s second goal was in the 72nd minute.

Braves goalkeeper Kutter Ward made five saves in the shutout; Flathead lobbed 18 shots on the Big Sky goal.

MISSOULA – Big Sky swamped the Flathead Bravettes 7-1 Tuesday in Western AA soccer.

Mia Stephan scored Flathead’s only goal in the loss.

Big Sky’s Avory DeCoite scored four goals, and Michenna George added two.
