| December 1, 2022 12:00 AM

A passerby was suspicious that a man wearing a hoodie was trying to get into a coffee shop when it looked like he was trying to break a window. All was merry and bright, however, when it was discovered that it was just two employees stringing up Christmas lights.

Someone thought a small dog was being left outside a home too long for its size. Maybe they got this impression of negligence because they noted the residence still had Halloween decorations up. The dog was found to be in good health and was free to come and go through a doggie door.

A white marble was reportedly shot through the front window of a building, creating $1,500 worth of damage.

Later on, officers received a call about two intoxicated men throwing sticks onto the roof of a man’s house and when he confronted them, one of the men purportedly told him to, “Man up and fight them.” The pair took off when he went inside to wait for law enforcement, but he was afraid they would return to fight.

A desk clerk relayed a guest’s concern about being kidnapped by a man she showed up with after allegedly smoking marijuana she believed was laced with something. The clerk planned to keep the woman in the lobby until law enforcement arrived.

A maintenance man reportedly didn’t know what to do with a baggie containing a marijuana substance found in an apartment they were cleaning from an incident that reportedly involved tear gas.

A man staying in a fifth-wheel camper allegedly went to a store and swapped prices on a heater by scanning a cheaper one.

Someone claimed their father kidnapped a baby and her mother got a voicemail stating that she needed to pay $4,000 to see her son again.

A woman was told she would need to take up an issue with her soon-to-be ex-husband allegedly closing her account in civil court.

Someone called officers to report a very angry man in his late 50s for driving under the influence after he reportedly came into a shop yelling and then drove away in a white Dodge pickup.

A woman went to the police department alleging her brother was stealing her belongings and attempting to sell the items on Facebook Marketplace. However, no crime had been committed since he hadn’t sold any of the items yet and she still had access to them. An officer gave her a business card to call if he did sell her belongings.

Three people started a small fire in a parking lot.

A call to 911 was abandoned. On a call back, a woman allegedly said she and a man were “having a moment.” The man wanted officers to respond to mediate the situation, saying she was threatening to call the cops and tell them he hit her. The couple was counseled.

A woman calling from a restaurant told officers a fire was “still a-blazin'” in a parking lot. She was advised that law enforcement was aware and that it would burn itself out. She said she would keep an eye on it.
