Law enforcement agencies ring bell for Salvation Army
The Kalispell Police Department and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office are set to compete in the “Battle of the Badges” Saturday to raise money for The Salvation Army.
Beginning at 10 a.m. representatives from both agencies will be ringing bells for the Red Kettle campaign. The Kalispell Police Department will be at Smith’s in Kalispell and the Sheriff’s Office will be at Rosauers.
The Salvation Army supports vulnerable neighbors. In addition to Christmas help, The Salvation Army uses the kettle collections to provide a variety of services to those who need food, clothing and emergency assistance.
“We are so honored to have our local law enforcement spend their time volunteering for us to make a difference in our community, together we are better,” says Major Larry Feist.
The Salvation Army asks church friends, local community representatives, devoted public officials, and friends of The Salvation Army to assist community neighbors in need by volunteering to ring the bell at a Red Kettle location in Flathead County.
