Bigfork's Berreth reaches 1k career mark

BIGFORK — Emma Berreth scored 21 points and reached 1,000 for her career, and the Bigfork Valkyries downed Plains 73-9 in a District 7-B girls basketball game Saturday.

Berreth, a senior, hit a step-back 3-pointer for her final points, giving her 1,000. She then subbed out to celebrate.

Braeden Gunlock tallied 17 points for the Vals (15-1 overall, 8-1 in league)..

Plains was led by Kaylah Standeford’s six points

LaReina Cordova added 10 points for the Northwest A Maidens (12-4), who outscored the Southwest A Yellowjackets 27-7 after intermission.

Makahla Burlingame’s seven points led the Crusaders.
