James Lewis Misener, 73

| February 10, 2022 12:00 AM

Jim was the youngest, born Sept. 28, 1947, in Kalispell to James Edward and Carolyn Misener. He passed away Jan. 23, 2022.

In 1949, the family moved to Hanford, California, where his dad built and ran Kings Drive-in theater.

In 1955, the theater was sold and the family moved to the Misener Ranch in Delhi, California, where they grew grapes, almonds, raised chickens and sold eggs. He wasn’t appreciative of the ranch life, so he entertained himself with friends, baseball, fishing, swimming and motorcycles.

Jim’s love of camping, fishing and road trips continued. He and a friend worked their way from California to Florida and back. His love of motorcycles ended when he crashed. He thought his future could do without the road burn.

In 1966 Jim married Sherry Babb. They had three children, Karen, Lisa and Eddie. They later divorced.

In 1975 Jim married Diane Salado. They had one son, Donald. He continued his love of road trips, as he and Diane lived in many different communities across the states.

In 1995 he and Diane settled in Montana. He was maintenance manager of Gateway Mall in Kalispell until 2010 when a stroke forced his retirement.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, sister Shirley, and son Donald.

Jim is survived by his wife Diane, children Lisa, Karen and Eddie, sister Linda, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

As per his wishes, there will be no service.
