Law roundup: Suspicious activity brought on by new neighbors
A man complained to the Kalispell Police Department about suspicious activity going on ever since new tenants moved in next door. He said someone was banging on a neighbor’s door to let them in and when there was no answer they went outside and sat inside a vehicle.
A man wearing a red vest and golf cap reportedly screamed and yelled at passing cars near an intersection.
Someone confronted a man around the age of 40 after they reportedly saw him touching a girl inappropriately and screaming. The person claimed the man said, “that this was all punishment for the daughter using her cell phone,” and took off.
A man, who was allegedly talking about God and threatening people, was trying to get into other guests’ rooms and then went outside and crossed the street. The man’s belongings were secured in his car.
A woman reportedly refused to leave a bar and instead cussed at employees. The belligerent woman then went outside and sat down in front of the bar and began screaming. She was kicked off the property and told not to return.
A store employee allegedly refused to sell two males alcohol because they didn’t have “good” ID’s, so they left. However, one of the males, who was wearing a black hoodie and jeans, went back inside and stole two bottles of alcohol.
A man wearing a blue beanie reportedly walked out of a store with a stolen bag of groceries.
An employee was purportedly asked to leave when she acted belligerently and went to her vehicle where she started driving erratically around the parking lot.
Video footage allegedly showed incidents of people destroying property at Depot Park.
A passerby asked officers to check on a man in a wheelchair who was reportedly screaming for help and screaming profanities because they didn’t know what to do and didn’t ask if he was OK. Officers drove through the area and no issues came up.
A man allegedly attacked a woman when he hit her and put her in a chokehold. After the attack, he followed her as she walked into a fast-food restaurant.
An elderly man was reportedly having a really difficult time getting his wheelchair up a hill when a Good Samaritan stopped and assisted.
