Questions for liberals

I have a few questions for my liberal “friends” now that your team has had a year to run the country.

How do you like the main theme of the Biden presidency: I will reverse everything that my predecessor did beginning with the Keystone pipeline and border security? Do you feel safer – those in big cities – with Soros funded DAs who let violent criminals return to the streets the day after arrest, often without bail?

Do you support puppet Attorney General Garland unleashing the FBI on “domestic terrorist” parents who don’t want their children taught critical race theory (if they are White they are oppressors; if they are Black they are victims)? Can you imagine how he would have ignored the Constitution had he been appointed to the Supreme Court? And do you really believe that our country is “systemically racist?” If you do, you should flee immediately to a more tolerant location – perhaps China where genocide is acceptable.

Do you, like Al Weed who suggested I am racist in a July 15, 2021 letter to the editor, still support BLM rioters, looters and arsonists now that their leadership and the millions of dollars of donations have gone missing?

Do you want transgender (biological males) showering with your 12-year-old daughters, excusing the occasional rape or molestation as the odd event, or even worse support a college professor who believes that pedophilia is a normal healthy feeling?

Does it make sense to you to discourage oil drilling domestically only to be forced to buy oil from our enemies, including Russia, when a year ago we were oil and gas independent? Looking around the world – China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, radical Muslim terrorists – I don’t for a minute believe that climate change is either an existential threat or our most important national security issue.

How do you like the economy? Gas prices? Food prices? Heating fuel prices? Car prices?

How do you like 2 million illegals flooding the country with little or no screening and 74,000 or so being flown in the middle of the night to cities across the country and released? No Covid vaccination mandate for them . . . just for you working citizens.

How do you like the mandates? While I strongly support vaccination (despite my own experience of getting infected with Omicron after three doses) I don’t support mandates for this vaccine. We are losing thousands of workers vital to the smooth running of health care, military, public safety (cops and firemen) and if Biden had his way all companies employing over 100 workers.

Speaking of mandates, how do you feel about your children being forced to wear masks in school while the mask mandate politicians and elites of athletics and Hollywood attend events like the Super Bowl maskless?

How do you like Uncle Joe’s foreign policy? His inept withdrawal from Afghanistan or his inability to get tough sanctions on Russia before the Ukraine invasion? Do you think Europe respects or fears (either one is OK with me) Biden more than Trump?

I could go on, but I am already over my word limit.

I once suggested the benefit of the radical left taking full charge would be that rational people would see the damage that progressive socialism could do. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back to center-right. If not, we may indeed fulfill Benjamin Franklin’s warning when asked what kind of government he had produced. His response, “A Democracy, if you can keep it.” The question now is, “Can we?”
