A short Kalispell City Council meeting on Monday will focus on a changing of the guard, so to speak.

Outgoing council members Tim Kluesner and Kyle Waterman will give a presentation, followed by new council members Jessica Dahlman and Jed Fisher taking their oath of office. A new council president also will be elected.

The only other agenda item is the appointment of Daniel James to the Economic Revolving Loan Fund Committee.

A reception to thank outgoing council members and welcome new members will be held in the council chambers following the 7 p.m. meeting on Jan. 3 at Kalispell City Hall.

Kluesner, who has served Ward 4 for 16.5 years, and Waterman, who has served Ward 3 for four years, will be thanked for their service to the community. Dahlman, representing Ward 3, and Fisher, representing Ward 4, will be welcomed onto the council.
