Sentinel boys overcome 8 Flathead 3-pointers in win
A third-quarter Missoula Sentinel burst, led by Riley Allen’s pair of 3-pointers, put the Spartans up and they held on to beat Flathead 68-56 in Western AA boys basketball Saturday.
Gavin Chouinard hit four 3-pointers and scored 15 points for Flathead, while teammate Joston Cripe had a pair of threes and tied Allen for game scoring honors with 16.
Luca Zoeller added 14 points for the Braves (0-6 overall, 0-2 in league), who forged a 27-27 halftime tie.
Allen and Kaden Sheridan each hit three 3-pointers for the Spartans, who led 47-38 after three quarters and hit 8 of 12 free throws down the stretch.
