Lady Lions top Loggers at home

EUREKA — The Eureka Lady Lions dominated the Libby Loggers 51-14 Tuesday in the Battle of the Kootenai, an intraconference basketball game.

Reena Truman led Eureka with 14 points, including two free throws. Jadyn Pluid added nine points including one 3-pointer and Ixone Coteron and Jimena Sanchez each scored eight.

For the Loggers, Taylor Munro scored six points, all free-throws. Rylee Boltz added four.

THOMPSON FALLS — The unbeaten Bigfork Valkyries dealt the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks their first loss, 69-30 on Tuesday.

Braeden Gunlock paced the Valkyries, who are now 9-0, with 18 points. Emma Berreth added 14.

Bigfork jumped out to a big lead to start the game, leading 19-8 after one quarter and extending the lead to 33-16 at the half.

The Blue Hawks fall to 7-1. Statistics for Thompson Falls were not available.

FRENCHTOWN — Colton Graham scored twice in overtime to help the Polson Pirates edge the Frenchtown Broncs 56-53 in a Class A game Tuesday.

Graham scored a total of 17 points for the Pirates, who led the Broncs 28-24 at the half.

Jarrett Wilson added 13 for Polson, including a free throw in overtime.

The Broncs outscored the Pirates 17-9 in the final frame to force overtime.

Eli Quinn led Frenchtown with 16 points.
