Loren Dean Pierson, 53

Loren Pierson, 53, of Kalispell passed away in Minot, North Dakota, Jan. 10, 2022, of complications from Covid-19.

He was born and raised in Kalispell and attended Helena Flats School and Flathead High. Upon graduation in 1986, he served with distinction in the U.S. Army—Seventh Army, 2d Armored Division, in Europe and Virginia.

Upon his discharge, he returned to Kalispell and worked as a diesel mechanic and truck driver. The family started Pierson Truck Parts and Loren went to work there as a parts manager. After the economic downturn in 2008, he moved to Tioga, North Dakota, to work in the equipment repair industry. Moving back to Kalispell in 2021, he continued to work as a truck driver and mechanic.

Loren had a lifelong love of mechanics and trucks. He enjoyed the outdoors and working on his grandfather’s farm. He was a faithful and loyal friend and was always ready to help anyone in need, often going the extra mile in serving others.

He is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Jessica Pierson, son Jacob (Brandee) Pierson, daughter Jackie (Dan) Smith, stepson Van Vesquiso, grandchildren Hudson and Evelyn Smith, and Preslee Pierson, parents Lloyd and Eileen Pierson, and brothers Mike (Deb), and Lloyd (Laura) Pierson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, at 4 p.m. at Faith Covenant Presbyterian Church, with a reception to follow.
