Maidens edge Lady Bulldogs
RONAN — Olivia Heiner poured in 17 points to help the Ronan Maidens edge the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs 38-31 Friday in Northwest A girls basketball.
The Maidens went 5-for-6 from the free-throw line down the stretch to secure the win.
Also in double digits for Ronan was Dani Coffman with 13 points.
Taylor Means paced the Bulldogs with 14 points.

WHITEFISH — The Whitefish Bulldogs overpowered the Ronan Chiefs behind Bodie Smith’s 20 points Friday, in a 59-38 Northwest A conference basketball win.
Smith drained three 3-pointers in the first half to help Whitefish to a 27-24 lead at the half.
The Bulldogs built started building a lead in the third quarter and sealed the win by outscoring Ronan 14-3 in the final frame.
Talon Holmquist made six free throws and scored 16 points.
For Ronan, Elijah Tonasket led with 11 points.
