Valkyries trip Wildkats with big second half
BIGFORK — Emma Berreth returned to the lineup and scored 13 points, Braeden Gunlock added 12 and the Bigfork Valkyries scored a bounce-back, 38-30 non-conference girls basketball win over Columbia Fall Tuesday.
Berreth, who missed two games with a concussion, helped spark a 30-point second half for the District 7-B Vals. Bigfork (12-1), which suffered its first loss at Mission Saturday, trailed 10-8 at halftime.
Grace Gedlaman scored a game-high 14 points for the Northwest A Wildkats (8-4). Hope McAtee added 10 for Columbia Falls.

EUREKA — Kason Page scored 18 points and the Mission Bulldogs edged the Eureka Lady Lions in a District 7-B girls basketball game.
The Bulldogs trailed 29-22 at the half and outscored the Lions 15-9 in the third quarter. A 16-14 edge in the final frame put the Bulldogs over the top.
For Eureka, Jadyn Pluid poured in 15 points and Jimena Sanchez and Ixone Coteron each scored 11.

Makena Patrick scored 10 points for the District 6-B Copperheads (9-3), who led 24-20 at half. Dani Coffman scored all of her five points in the third quarter to help the Northwest A Maidens (8-4) pull ahead.
