Lucille 'Lucy' Sorensen, 90
Lucille "Lucy" Sorensen, 90, passed away peacefully June 11, 2022.
The oldest of three girls, she was born in Norma, N.D. to Arthur and Margaret Hansen. She married Ralph Sorensen and raised their five children in Wolf Point, where Ralph had established an optometry practice. Sadly, Ralph passed away in 1972 at the age of 45.
After that devastating loss, Lucy along with business partner, Bette Ault, purchased the Classic Shop, where together they styled the ladies of Wolf Point and the surrounding area for the next 17 years.
After retirement, Lucy went on to live, love and laugh with many new and treasured friends in Kalispell, her home for 32 years.
Lucille is a French name, derived from the Latin, meaning "light." Lucy certainly lived up to the name and will be remembered by all who knew her for the way she lit up a room with the smile that came so easily to her.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Ret. Lt. Col. Peter, Ralph Tod (Laura), Mark (Saran), David (special friend Linda); and daughter Julee (Dave); grandson Leif (Avery); their children Knox and Remi; and grandson Lars; sisters Charlotte, children, Peder, Mari, and Shelli, Audrey (Karl); and their daughter Suzette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; infant daughter Peggy; her parents and brother-in-law Dale (Charlotte).
In keeping with Lucy's wishes, a private family service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point. Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
