On Thursday the late innings got away from the Glacier Range Riders, as Missoula scored 11 runs from the sixth inning on, in a 12-4 Pioneer League victory at Flathead Field.

McClain O’Connor and Keaton Greenwalt had three hits each to spearhead the North Division-leading PaddleHeads attack.

For the Range Riders (13-24), Brody Wofford drew a bases-loaded walk ahead of Dean Miller’s double-play grounder in the first. That 2-1 lead held up until the sixth, when Kamron Willman’s two-run double put Missoula up 3-2.

The runs kept coming: Greenwalt’s RBI single capped a three-run eighth inning that put Missoula up 9-2.

Glacier scored in the eighth when Ryan Cash walked and eventually scored on a wild pitch, and in the ninth when Brandt Broussard hit his first home run.

Starting pitcher Dawson Day threw four strong innings for Glacier, and Austin Steinfort pitched a scoreless fifth before the Paddleheads (28-10) piled up 13 hits against three Range Riders relievers.

MIssoula swept the three-game set in Kalispell, running its win streak to six games. The two teams began another three-game series in Missoula Friday night.

The Range Riders start a seven-day home stand Monday at 7:05 p.m. against Billings.
