No. 28680 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, hereby gives notice, pursuant to Section 76-2-205(1), M.C.A., that it will hold a public hearing to consider a request to change the zoning designation in a portion of the Bigfork Zoning District from SAG-5 (Suburban Agricultural) to R-1 (Suburban Residential). The boundaries of the area proposed to be amended from SAG-5 (Suburban Agricultural) to R-1 (Suburban Residential) are described as: A tract of land in the NE1/4SE1/4 of Section 24, Township 27 North, Range 20 West, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the section line 40 rods south of the NE corner of said NE1/4SE1/4; thence South along the section line 20 rods; thence West and parallel with the north boundary line of said NE1/4SE1/4 80 rods to the west boundary line thereof; thence North along the west boundary line a distance of 20 rods; thence East and parallel to the North boundary line of said NE1/4SE1/4 a distance of 80 rods to the East boundary line; the place of beginning. No. 28754 Opportunity to Object the Spotted Bear Mountain Project USDA Forest Service Flathead National Forest Spotted Bear Ranger District Flathead County, Montana The Spotted Bear Ranger District of the Flathead National Forest has prepared an updated environmental assessment (EA) and draft decision notice (DN) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for the Spotted Bear Mountain Project. This project proposes approximately 1,040 acres of vegetation management and 4 miles of road management south of Hungry Horse, MT. The responsible official for this project is Spotted Bear District Ranger Scott Snelson. The updated EA and draft DN/FONSI are available on the web at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=61010. The Spotted Bear Mountain Project is subject to the objection process pursuant to 36 CFR 218, subparts A and B. How to file an Objection and Timeframe: Objections must be submitted within 45 calendar days following the publication of this notice in the Daily Inter Lake. The publication date in the newspaper of record is the exclusive means for calculating the time to file an objection. Those wishing to object should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source. The regulations prohibit extending the time to file an objection. Objections will only be accepted from those who have previously submitted specific written comments regarding the proposed project during scoping or other designated opportunity for public comment. Issues raised in objections must be based on previously submitted timely, specific written comments regarding the proposed project unless based on new information arising after the designated comment opportunities §218.8(c). The objection must contain the minimum content requirements specified in §218.8(d) and incorporation of documents by reference is permitted only as provided in §218.8(b). It is the objector's responsibility to ensure timely filing of a written objection with the reviewing officer pursuant to §218.9. All objections are available for public inspection during and after the objection process.
