Red Sox rip Loggers, 13-4
HAMILTON — A 3-2 Libby lead disappeared in an eight-run outburst by the host Bitterroot Red Sox, who beat the Loggers 13-4 in the first game of an A Legion doubleheader Wednesday.
Four straight walks led to two second-inning runs for the Loggers (13-25), and when Landon Haddock scored on a throwing error in the third, his team led 3-2.
Bitterroot sent 12 men to the plate in its half of the third, with Loggers pitchers issuing seven straight walks to help the Red Sox go up 7-3. Bridger Huxtable doubled in two runs to make it 10-3; Huxtable had two doubles and drove in three.
Haddock drew a third bases-loaded walk for Libby’s final run, in the fourth inning. Tripp Zhang and Caden Williams drew the others.
