Chukars outslug Range Riders, 9-6

Tom Walker stymied the Glacier Range Riders for six innings, and three Idaho Falls players homered in the Chukars’ 9-6 win in Pioneer League baseball at Flathead Field Sunday.
Calvin Estrada, Tyler Kelly and Brendan Hueth all hit home runs for the Chukars (5-1), who lead the North Division in the second half after sweeping the three-game set on the Range Riders’ field. Kelly also doubled in a run to put the Chukars up 4-1 in the third inning; he hit a solo homer in the fifth to make it 7-1.
Brody Wofford hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning for Glacier, but the Range Riders got little else against Walker, who allowed three hits in six innings and struck out four.
Glacier got to relievers Alex Fishberg and Logan Bender in the eighth: Livingston Morris led off with his sixth home run of the season; Ryan Cash hit an RBI single; then Sam Linscott drove in two with a base hit and Dean Miller doubled in Linscott.
Both teams are off Monday. Glacier continues its nine-game homestand with six games against the Missoula PaddleHeads, beginning Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
