James 'Jim' Eugene Love, 85

James “Jim” Eugene Love, 85, of Swan Lake, passed away July 15, 2022.

He was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Billings to Thomas Napoleon Love and Carolyn Lucie (Tareo) Love.

Jim was a retired sergeant in the Kalispell Police Department. He also served in the Army. Some of Jim’s hobbies included hunting, fly fishing and woodworking. He had a passion for yard maintenance as well, and kept the yard looking immaculate. Jim was a man of faith and attended Swan Lake Church.

Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Love; daughter, Paulette Estey (Dan); son, Monte Love (Cindy); son, Tony Love (Paulette); nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol and Sharon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by daughter, Holly Brown and six brothers.

Services for James “Jim” Eugene Love will be held at the Love residence on July 30 at 1 p.m. Please bring your favorite dish for a potluck.
