Law roundup: Drunk man may get a visit from the Tooth Fairy

A drunk man allegedly called the Whitefish Police Department and hung up but not before a woman was heard in the background saying, “Here we go.” The man said he fell over and broke a tooth and called for a ride to the hospital but hung up because his girlfriend was going to take him and he did not need any assistance.

A black bear and cubs were reported hanging out in a tree near City Beach.

A very intoxicated New Yorker reportedly went into a shop and yelled threats at someone who got him to leave and he then turned around and urinated on the building.

An extra patrol was requested around the middle school when classes started because reckless drivers allegedly weren’t stopping for pedestrians. A woman said her child was almost hit.

Someone reportedly thought it wasn’t safe for a small child to be sitting in front of a man riding a motorcycle. Both were wearing helmets.

Someone was having trouble sleeping with alleged noise and yelling coming from City Beach after midnight. They thought they heard two to three people, but couldn’t tell if they were fighting or jumping in the water, or what exactly was going on.

A highly intoxicated man called the Columbia Falls Police Department after he was allegedly hit in the face with a bat and knocked out. He said he had a swollen lip and turned down medical assistance. He did not want officers to come to his apartment because he was afraid it would wake up his roommate and hung up before more information could be gathered. He was advised to go to the department later to fill out a statement.

Someone reportedly requested a welfare check on a boy with a bruise and broken skin on his temple and a girl who were out selling candles.

An intoxicated man was allegedly stumbling around a parking lot and vomiting to the dismay of an employee who asked Columbia Falls Police officers to check on him and then move him along.

People living in a camper with a red truck were advised to leave a parking lot or they would be cited for trespassing.

Four kids were counseled by officers after one of them allegedly pushed over a portable toilet on their way home.
