Primary election ballots due today
Ballots for the federal primary election are due today, June 7.
It is too late to mail in ballots, but registered voters can still drop off absentee ballots in person at the county election office or their designated polling place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Drive-through drop-off locations are at the county Election Office alley off 11th Street West in Kalispell, and at the Flathead County Fairgrounds at 265 N. Meridian in Kalispell.
Polling places are also open today at the county fairgrounds, Lakeside QRU, Bad Rock Fire Hall, Smith Valley Fire Hall, Whitefish Community Center, Columbia Falls High School, Martin City Fire, Marion Fire and Auxiliary, Bigfork Library, Swan River School, First Baptist Church in Whitefish and the Whitefish Armory.

Same-day registration is no longer an option in Montana following new voting law enacted during the 2021 legislative session. People were allowed to register up until noon Monday.
As of Monday, 77,368 people were registered to vote in Flathead County, according to data from the Montana Secretary of State office. Of the 45,286 absentee ballots mailed out, 14,955 had been returned.
