Lemonade Day teaches young entrepreneurs

| June 19, 2022 12:00 AM

A national program fostering youth entrepreneurship is returning to Kalispell.

Lemonade Day will be held on Saturday, June 25 with youth operating lemonade stands throughout the greater Kalispell area.

This will be the third year for the program in Kalispell and is an initiative of WorkForce Flathead.

The national Lemonade Day program helps youth learn about starting a business, via the one-day stands. Through guided lessons in their Lemonade Day booklet, they learn about budgeting, finance, site selection, product creation, supplies, staffing, and more.

“It’s a creative, interactive way for kids to learn about the basics of starting a business, while having fun and earning money, too,” says Jenn Cronk, the Workforce and Special Initiatives Director for the Kalispell Chamber.

The Kalispell program’s local Main Squeeze presenting sponsor for 2022 is Three Rivers Bank of Montana and the Fresh Squeeze Sponsor is Terry Homes.

This year’s Lemonade Day program will have several contests including a Best Tasting Lemonade contest, Best Stand Contest, and the national Youth Entrepreneur contest.

Stands will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and locations can be found at:
