Women Artists of the Flathead featured at Phillips Studio
Phillips Studio & Gallery presents the Women Artists of the Flathead exhibit featuring the work of Linda Bates, Barbara Geha, Charlene Harman, Ardith Karlsen, Marcia Murdock, Susan Prestwich, Susan Wineman and DeNae Weimer.
The exhibit will explore a variety of themes in these new works during March. These eight women illustrate the power of artists to reveal beauty.
Wineman and Harman will highlight their creations in the still life genre. Linda Bates, Marcia Murdock, Ardith Karlsen and DeNae Weimer will display their own personal style in their landscape paintings. Prestwich will display her vibrant animal portraiture, and Geha her whimsical paintings.
This exhibit is unique in that these artists have responded to what Montana as an environment has to offer and transformed its influence into many forms of creative expression. The collection will be on display through March 26.
An artists’ reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. First Friday, March 4. The gallery is located between JCPenney and the Red Lion Hotel in the Kalispell Center Mall. For more information, call at 309-2335, or visit phillipsfineartgallery.com or Facebook.
