No. 28400 CITY OF COLUMBIA FALLS NOTICE FOR SECOND PUBLIC HEARING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT The City of Columbia Falls will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 21st at 7:00 pm, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 130 6th Street West, Columbia Falls, Montana for the purpose of obtaining public comment on a proposed application for a public facilities project, Boys and Girls Club, located in the City of Columbia Falls under the Montana Community Development Block Grant Program administered by the Montana Department of Commerce. At the public hearing, the proposed project will be explained, including the purpose and proposed area of the project, activities, budget, and possible sources of funding. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to ask questions and to express their opinions regarding this proposed project. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing on or before Thursday, March 18th to be included in the Council packet. Comments received after that date will be handed out at the meeting. Written comments carry the same weight as verbal comment during the hearing. No. 28406 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WEST RESERVE DRIVE WELL SITE DRILL TWO NEW WELLS EVERGREEN WATER The Flathead County Water District No. 1 - Evergreen, Montana (the "District") will receive sealed bids for the construction of two new wells at the new West Reserve Drive Well Site. The District will receive bids at the District office building located at 130 Nicholson Drive in Kalispell, Montana until 2:00 P.M. on the 13th day of April 2022, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Work contained under this contract consists of drilling, developing, and testing two (2) new wells; and pump testing of the two new wells for water right purposes and yield determination, including furnishing, installing and removing temporary test pump. The project site is located on West Reserve Drive just west of the Whitefish River bridge. Bids shall be addressed to the General Manager, Flathead County Water No. 1, 130 Nicholson Drive, Kalispell, Montana 59901, and must be sealed and entitled "New West Reserve Drive Wells". All bidders shall possess an appropriate Montana Contractor's License and Montana Water Well Driller's License and no contract shall be awarded to any bidder unless he or she is the holder of a license in the class within which the value of the project falls. The bidder's Montana Contractor's and Water Well Driller's License numbers and address shall appear on the sealed bid envelope. The District reserves the right to waive any technicality or informality and accept any bid which may be deemed in the best interest of the District. After a Contract is awarded, the successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Bidders on the work will be required to comply with Montana Prevailing Wage Rates. It is incumbent upon each employer to pay, as a minimum, the rate of wages including fringe benefits for health and welfare and pension contributions, and travel allowance provisions, provided in the most current Prevailing Wage Rates. Bidders on the project will also be required to pay the State's 1% Contractor's withholding tax.
