Hockaday Members Salon award winners

The Hockaday Museum of Art announces the People’s Choice Award winners for its Members Salon 2022 exhibit:

Winners are:

First place: Karen Leigh for her watercolor painting “Mood Indigo”

Second place: Tanya Lambrecht for her mixed media painting “Reflexions”

Third place: Susan Oursland for her oil painting “Flathead River”

‘Nite of Jazz’ fundraiser

Kalispell Kiwanis Club presens its15th annual “Nite of Jazz” fundraiser featuring local high school jazz bands at 6:30 p.m. March 14 at Glacier High School Performance Hall. Jazz bands from Whitefish High School, Columbia Falls High School, Glacier High School, Flathead High School and Kalispell Middle School will be featured.

The cost is $5 per adult and $3 per student. Proceeds will benefit each band and Kiwanis.

The Lil Smokies in concert in Whitefish this weekend

Missoula-based Bluegrass band The Lil Smokies returns to the Great Northern bar in Whitefish today, March 10, and Friday, March 11.

Tickets sell out fast for this popular band, which includes Whitefish native Andy Dunnigan. Go to greatnorthernbar.com ​​

WTC announces concert cancellation

Due to circumstances beyond its control, the Whitefish Theatre Company has had to cancel the upcoming Paul Beaubrun music concert that was scheduled on March 17.

If you would like a refund to this show, email info@whitefishtheatreco.org. You can also call the box office at 862-5371 if you would like a credit for this show to be used at a future performance.

Whitefish Theatre Co. is disappointed about the cancellation and apologizes for any inconvenience.

​​Student musicians perform free concert

Students of Glacier Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Piano, Leaha Farnes Studio, and Kay Studio perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Flathead High School auditorium.

Music styles will include rock, country, jazz, flamenco, classical, metal, rap and more. Eleven bands will be performing.
