Eureka’s Casazza leads State B golf
ANACONDA — Erik Casazza of Eureka leads the boys field after the first day of the State B golf tournament at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Golf Course Tuesday, which was moved up a day due to weather concerns later in the week.
Casazza, who tied for fourth last year as a junior, fired a 76 to lead Riley Smith of Glasgow by one stroke.
The Boulder boys team has a two-stroke lead on 2021 champion Columbus with 337.
Boulder’s Celi Chapman is tied with Aubree Mitchum for first in the girls field. Both carded an 81. Bigfork’s Keni Wade is third with 86 strokes.
The Columbus girls, also 2021 champs, lead with 374; Three Forks is next with 406.
