McIntyre, Muller lead Twins over KV Rangers
WHITEFISH — Jake McIntyre’s two-run double keyed a four-run seventh inning for the Glacier Twins, who pulled away to beat Kootenai Valley 10-2 Tuesday in Legion baseball at Memorial Field.
McIntyre doubled twice for the Twins (5-1): His first pushed a 3-2 gap to 5-3; his second drove in Mikey Glass, who’d just hit a two-run triple, in the eighth to make it 10-2.
The Rangers led 2-0 early, getting an RBI single from Kyle Durden in the first before Corbin Hurst doubled and scored in the third.
In the fourth, Hayden Meehan’s RBI triple came in the midst of a three-run rally that put the Twins ahead for good.
Maddox Muller got the win on the mound, throwing five scoreless innings in relief of McIntire. He gave up three hits and no walks, and struck out two.
Mikey Glass struck out three Rangers in the ninth.
Meehan, AC Chilton, McIntyre and Mason Peters all scored twice for Glacier.
