The Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation (FVSEF) announces two showings of the much-loved Warren Miller ski and snowboard film event at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12. This year Miller’s film “Daymaker” will be shown at the O’Shaughnessy Performing Arts Center in Whitefish.
A killer storm cycle in the Monashees. Adaptive backcountry riding like you’ve never seen before. The ultimate grass skiing run. Alaska (twice). Come along for the biggest days with the 73rd annual Warren Miller film, “Daymaker” — Then get ready for your own. Because there’s no better day than one out on the hill.
Early ticket purchases are encouraged at FVSEF.org. Online ticket prices are $20 for adults and $18 for children under 18.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Drinks and snacks are available, as well as raffle tickets for some great prizes.
FVSEF is a nonprofit valley-wide youth sports organization. More than a third of the program budget comes from sponsors, donors and fundraising, including the Warren Miller movie and these upcoming community events:
• Showcase of the Chefs, Dec. 6, with gourmet food, wine tasting, silent and live auction at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake
• U.S. Ski and Snowboard sanctioned race for U16 and U18 age groups at Whitefish Mountain Resort Feb. 25-26. Cheer on your local ski racers as they compete with teams from Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, Red Lodge and the rest of the Northern Division.
• Chicks on Sticks — Women’s ski clinic to be scheduled in March
