Sentinel tops Flathead Friday

MISSOULA — Sentinel bounced back emphatically from its first loss since 2019, rolling from the opening kickoff on to beat Flathead 70-7 in Western AA football Friday.

Adam Jones took the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown and added a 75-yard punt return for a score in Sentinel’s 28-point first quarter.

Riley Allen ran for one score and threw for another in that period. In the second quarter Allen found Karsen Beitz with a 25-yard touchdown pass and Jones added a 1-yard scoring run as Spartans took a 49-7 halftime lead.

Jackson Walker hooked up with Gabe Sims on a 20-yard scoring pass for Flathead (1-5).

The Braves return to action Friday, with a game at Helena High.
