Flathead falls to Bengals, 34-7
HELENA — Carter Kraft threw for 388 yards and three touchdowns, and Helena High made it six straight wins with a 34-7 Western AA football win over Flathead Friday.
Flathead (1-6 overall, 0-5 in league) grabbed the lead with a 42-yard scoring strike from Jackson Walker to Jaden Williams.
Tevin Wetzel scored two touchdowns — one rushing, one receiving — to put the Bengals (6-1, 5-0) in front. Kraft then found Manu Melo for scoring plays covering 82 and 49 yards, and Melo added a 7-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to cap the win.
Melo has 15 touchdowns this season, 13 through the air.
Walker had a solid game for the Braves, completing 16 of 33 passes for 146 yards, and running the ball 25 times for 114 yards.
Flathead’s next action is the Crosstown game Friday against Glacier.
