Whitefish boys top Western A Fall Classic

EAST GLACIER — Deneb Linton led his Whitefish squad to the team title at the Western A Fall Classic on Saturday with a second-place finish in his race.

Linton led a 2-3-11-12-15 for the Whitefish boys. Mason Genovese was third, and Nate Ingelfinger and Ethan Amick were 11th and 12th.

Dillon’s Ben Steadman won the boys race in 16:50.95.

Polson’s Colter Wilson was 13th. The Columbia Falls boys were fifth overall.

Corvallis won the girls team title with 46 points. Columbia Falls was next with 59.

Polson’s Ashtyn Wagner put in a strong showing with a second-place finish to Laurie Davidson of Corvallis. Madison Vincent of Libby was third, and Siri Erickson of Columbia Falls was fifth. Mya Badger and Marissa Schaeffer were 10th and 11th, and Ally Sempf finished 13th.
