Herd throws 3 TDs, Vikings blank Lions
BIGFORK — Tristen Herd threw three touchdown passes Friday, the third starting a second-half surge that carried Bigfork to a 39-0 win over Eureka and the Western B football title.
Herd was 7 of 13 passing for 140 yards, and a high percentage of completions found the end zone: Nick Walker had a 12-yard scoring reception, Isak Epperly caught a 5-yarder and in the third quarter Bryce Gilliard hauled in a 52-yarder.
Gilliard’s TD made it 21-0 and the Vikings (8-0 overall, 5-0 in the Western B) were on their way.
Joseph Farrier and Samuel Plummer added scoring runs of 35 and 67 yards, and Tayden West had a short TD run as well.
Farrier had 13 carries for 83 yards; Plummer picked up 80 yards on just three totes. Epperly had four catches for 53 yards. Wyatt Johnson led the defense with 10.5 tackles, while Tyler Wickwire had eight stops and an interception.
