Law roundup: Man trips up in parking space argument

A man allegedly tried to trip a woman and throw her to the ground during an argument over a parking space.

A woman reportedly told the Kalispell Police Department that her estranged husband dropped her off at work in a vehicle she was the registered owner of and refused to bring it back.

A woman was allegedly spooked after seeing a strange man in his 40s through a home security camera. The man, who was wearing black baggy clothes. She went to her room and told officers she heard someone walking to the backyard and her dog barking, then someone trying the side door.

A man reportedly saw a homeless woman wearing a black jacket down to her knees breaking into his car and taking stuff. Officers made contact with the woman who claimed she thought the vehicle was hers and wondered why it had a “for sale” sign. Officers also contacted the man who checked the vehicle and didn’t find anything missing or disturbed and did not want to pursue criminal charges. He wanted her to get help. She requested and was given a ride to the library.

A man called 911 and hung up immediately. When dispatch called him back, he started mumbling about how tired he was of two people at his residence, wanted “it to stop,” and hung up.

A very large bike with signs affixed to it was reportedly secured to a light post in a parking lot with a “substantial lock.” Someone thought it had been abandoned and was in violation of municipal code.

A man walking his dog allegedly found a squatter in the field behind his house. The squatter’s property, including an employee name tag, was secured at the police department after attempts to find the man were unsuccessful.

Multiple people reportedly informed officers about a man’s driving behavior and how he would “freak out” on people, including a woman who told police he nearly hit her son with his vehicle, got out and acted belligerently toward her.

A child in diapers was allegedly roaming around a parking lot wearing only pants. The person reporting the incident to police said they called earlier when the child was almost hit, noting a woman told them to stop calling law enforcement, however, they were suspicious that something just wasn’t right about the situation “up there.”

A silver vehicle was reportedly sitting abandoned in a parking lot for four days and someone wanted the registered owner contacted to move it or have it towed.
