The project generally consists of repairing flood damage in River's Edge Park including restoration of approximately 400 lf of the gravel access road, repair and restoration of gravel and paved pedestrian paths, repair and re-anchoring of the wooden plank bridge, debris removal and river bank repair. CONTRACTOR(s) and any of the CONTRACTOR's subcontractors bidding on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). CONTRACTOR's are required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR(s) or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the United States and the State of Montana in accordance with the schedule of Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor and/or the schedule of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry included in the Project Manual. The project is being funded through the FEMA Public Assistance program and is subject to federal and state regulations. The contractor is required to comply with all supplementary bidding and funding agency requirements presented in the Instructions to Bidders and special provisions, if applicable, and shall make themselves aware of these requirements prior to submitting a bid. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Columbia Falls, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above. No. 28902 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING SERVICES The City of Kalispell has received a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)/Planning Grant in the amount of $ 30,000 by the Montana Department of Commerce (DOC) for the new construction of 18 units of multifamily housing for families with children at risk of homelessness or emerging from homeless status on the current campus (1110 2nd Avenue West, Kalispell), Phase I, and the renovation of the administrative facility (the Armory), Phase II. The Samaritan house Inc., as subrecipient of the CDBG grant funding is soliciting a Request for Qualifications and Firm-Fixed Price proposal for environmental consulting services to complete a Uniform Environmental Checklist. Additionally, the state of Montana HOME and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) programs will require an Environmental Review Record, and Health and Human Services will require an Environmental Information and Documentation (EID) checklist. The solicitation request covers the above requirements.
